Your MX Master 4 vibrates as soon as a macOS notification banner appears, usually within about 100 ms. You can pick from 15 vibration patterns, set a different pattern for each app (for example, a knock for Slack and a jingle for Calendar), or mute noisy apps completely. That way you can tell notifications apart without looking at the screen.

Yes. MacNotify only vibrates when a banner is actually shown, so Do Not Disturb and Focus modes stay silent. For meetings, bind Notification Haptics On/Off to a mouse button to mute everything with one click.
